Washington Allston

Washington Allston ARA (November 5, 1779 – July 9, 1843) was an American painter and poet, born in Waccamaw Parish, South Carolina. Allston pioneered America's Romantic pursuit of landscape painting. He was with ease known during his lifetime for his experiments subsequent to dramatic subject concern and his bold use of vivacious and atmospheric color. While his in front artworks concentrate upon grandiose and spectacular aspects of nature, his cutting edge pieces represent a more subjective and visionary approach.
