Charles Loring Elliott

Charles Loring Elliott (1812–1868) was an American painter known for his portraits. He was responsive in central New York for 10 years as a pubertal man, then in 1845 moved to New York City to pursue his career. He was elected to the National Academy of Design in 1846.
