Elaine Kraf

Elaine Joan Kraf (February 21, 1936 – June 26, 2013) was an American novelist, short credit writer, and painter from New York City. She wrote I Am Clarence, The Princess of 72nd Street, and the experimental novel, Find Him!, a "brilliant spatial meditation of the abstract machine of femininity."
She was the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts awards.

Kraf was born upon February 21, 1936 in New York City. She was the daughter of Harry Kraf and the cousin of Marvin Sylvor. Kraf and her husband, Martin Altman, had one daughter, Milena.
