Charles Mayton

Charles Mayton (born 1974, Florida) is a New York-based painter. His sham combines painterly abstraction in imitation of the iconography of digital media. Mayton’s visual strategies of occupation and détournement have been compared to the seizure art of the Pictures Generation.
