Thiebaud is joined with the pop art action because of his interest in objects of bump culture, although his before works, executed during the fifties and sixties, slightly predate the works of the timeless pop artists. Thiebaud used muggy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well-defined shadows characteristic of advertisements are approaching always included in his work.
